To win souls for Christ and to help those
who give their lives to Christ grow in salvation, we write/translate
tracts and small booklets into local languages and send the
free gospel materials to native people. Our Christian material
centre tract club receives about 500 letters every month from
Christians wishing to distribute tract in their area, we also
receive 200 letters from people who have given their lives
to Christ.
Our prisons are crowded with prisoners.
These are people who need reform which can only be brought
through Jesus. To reach the prisoners with the gospel of Jesus
Christ we started a prison evangelism ministry.
Ways of reaching out free gospel tracts, distribute follow
up materials, biblical study materials all this is through
prison’s Christian education department (CED).
On Sunday 13 July 30, 2008. Christian Material
Center staff teamed up with a team from World Christian Outreach
and Higher Ground Bible Ministry, California in an evangelistic
mission to the inmates and staff at Naivasha Maximum and minimum
Prison, one of the biggest prisons in Kenya. The team spent
the whole day in this famous prison where some of the prominent
politicians and criminals have spent days, months, or years
behind the bars. Nine people gave their lives to Christ. Among
those who testified what God has done in their lives was Maina
Njenga, the leader of the outlawed Mungiki sect. He is now
born again and is serving a sentence of five years while his
wife’s body is in a mortuary after being murdered.
From the times of Jesus, children have been forgotten and
despised. Because of this, parents have been breeding a perverse
generation. To help in bringing up children in the ways of
the Lord, CMTPC publishes children books. The directors of
CMTPC are pastors and Evangelists who have a passion for children.
Between July 17 and 20, 2008, CMTPC organized
a medical camp at NEW DAWN ORPHANS SECONDARY SCHOOL in Laikipia
– Northern Kenya. CMTPC had hired a group of professional
and medical staff from AIC Kijabe Hospital, Getrude’s
Children Hospital, Cure International, and Ebenezer Hospital
participated in the three days free medical checkup. Pr. James
Kariuki, World Christian Outreach, Africa Director and CURE
international donated some drugs and eye glassed while CMTPC
provided the rest. Apart from the opharns and children from
the surrounding community, adult also accessed to the free
medical check up. 2,200 people benefited from this services
while about 15 people gave their life to Christ. As people
were getting free treatments, CMTPC seized the opportunity
to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through literature (small
booklets), person to person evangelism and preaching. Seven
people gave their lives to Christ and Pr. Ron baptized them
on Sunday, 20th July 08.
